Petitioning Driver Licenses for undocumented residents

Date: October 12, 2012
Time: 2:00
Place: Charlotte City Hall
600 East Fourth Street
Charlotte, NC 28202

Charlotte NC - Since October 15, 2011, Jesus Ministry has been working on a project to allow the eight percent of the population that represent undocumented residents to acquire a driver's license. These residents drive to school, church work and other places of interest and do not possess a valid document to operate a vehicle, which can be dangerous.

More than 6,000 US citizens signed petitions to the N.C.Governmet to request the issuance of Driver Licenses to undocumented residents in the state of North Carolina. Jesus Ministry and their supporters believe that issuing Driver licenses to the undocumented will aide the state in the efforts of homeland security, economic recovery, job creation, public safety, crime prevention and safer roads.

Jesus Ministry and the Community leaders will hold a press conference on this issue on Friday October 12, in order to request publicly the elected officials of our state to support this project.
